July Beauty Summer-y

I feel like I JUST did my June favorites…

But July is now over and omgwhereistheyeargoing.

I was trying to keep my routine pretty simple this month. Sometimes by choice- but other times because I’m just so dang busy and had to! These are the few products I was constantly reaching for in July!

My Go-To Skin Thangs:

Pixi By Petra Glow Tonic – I am officially obsessed with this stuff. I finally decided to buy the full size after debating with myself for so long, and I do not know how I lived without it! I use it every morning after cleansing, and highly recommend you do the same! This will help to exfoliate the skin, as well as help with any clogged pores, congested areas, and hyper pigmentation. My skin is smoother and brighter. I LOVE it!

Lumene Time Freeze Ultra Firm Elixir – I got this on super sale/closeout AND had a coupon, so I figured, what the hell? But I actually really like it! After applying the Glow Tonic, I apply this all over my face. It has little pearls in it that crush up and actually give a tiny amount of glitter, but it reads more like a glow. This serum sinks into the skin quickly and has not caused me to break out or become oily. 

PÜR COSMETICS HydraGel Lift – Another thing I use every AM, and this thing is magical. It instantly cools, depuffs, and masks fine lines under the eyes – creating the perfect canvas for concealer. It makes my tired eyes look more awake, and keeps my concealer from creasing throughout the day. Hydrates, but isn’t greasy. 

My Go-To Makeup:

It’s summer. It’s hot, and I’m a busy lady. But actually skip makeup?! Never. When I’m busy and want to keep it light, I stick to the basics: Brows, Lashes, Cheeks. It’s a cold day in hell when I leave my house without at least these three bases covered.

Holy grail mascara, and currently cannot put down: Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara. It’s just good, ya’ll.

For my brows, I finally hopped on the Gimme Brow bandwagon, and it’s a good ride. It is a volumizing fiber gel for your brows, so it adds color and ‘hair’ to my sad little blonde baby brows. On full out makeup days, I’ll shape with a pencil, and set it all with Gimme Brow. But for a quick, run out the door face- Gimme Brow is so easy to just run through the brows and make me look a little more together. I use the shade 3.

And for cheeks – Too Faced has the game there. I love their face powders and cheek colors. The Love Flush Blush has been one of my go to blushes for a long time now. I have it in the shade I Will Always Love You and first wore it on my wedding day! AWWWWWWW. This is a peachy golden shimmery blush, so it takes care of color AND highlight. And it boasts 16 hour wear, but I never really have a problem with my blush fading. And then of course, the Sweet Tea Luminous Bronzer has been the only bronzer I’ve been using! Tame That Mane:

I already bought the full size of the Bumble & Bumble Don’t Blow It that I sampled in my July Sephora Play! box! I hardly ever use a blow dryer to dry my hair, and this cream helps my hair to dry naturally in a pretty way – not in that frizzy, unruly, crapfest that used to happen.

And then when my hair is dried and styled, I set it all with the ‘working’ hairspray from Alterna. The Caviar Anti-Aging Working Hairspray is never sticky or heavy, but keeps my style for DAYS sometimes. I used this hairspray to curl my hair with a wand, and the curls in the photo below lasted for 4 days. FOUR DAYS. That is unheard of for me and humidity.

I actually just ordered two different Try Me sets from the Caviar line with my 20% off Ulta coupon, and I’m excited to try more ‘anti-aging’ haircare from Alterna!
