Marula Oil Showdown – Drunk Elephant VS The Ordinary!

I discovered the use of facial oils a couple years ago, and they have really changed my skin for the better. Having oily skin my entire life, it was an odd bandwagon to jump on – but trust me! Oils are your friend! Oily skin does not mean you are not in need of moisture and hydration. It means you need to provide the CORRECT moisture and hydration.

I bring to you today my thoughts on the drastically differing in cost Marula Oil offerings from Drunk Elephant and The Ordinary. One is $72, and the other is less than $10. So are they really that different? Let’s dive into this! Continue reading

Smashbox Photo Finish Primerizer – Oily Skin Review

We here at Leslie Here – which is just….me…Leslie (hi!) – love a good one-two punch. Any sort of product that promises to do two things at once. One that helps to eliminate the need for two steps, the need for two products, the need for two PURCHASES. YAS.

Another thing we (I, me, just Leslie) love to do is watch endless amounts of YouTube videos, and this product, the Smashbox Photo Finish Primerizer has been on the lips of so many “gurus” lately. I have been curious about this since it launched, and then gosh darnit, if it wasn’t 40% off during the “Love Your Skin” event that Ulta always reels me in with!

So I got it, and here we are.

Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask

The world of skincare is really starting to become more about how a product looks on your counter or in your Instagram feed, than how it performs on your skin. And unfortunately, I am 100% susceptible to millennial pink and chunky glass packaging.

In this review, I am going to go over the Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask from Glow Recipe that everyone on social media was losing their G-D minds over (apparently it had an 8,000 person wait list at Sephora? Was I one of those people? I don’t even rememebr, but it is highly likely..). Is it fantastic-amazing-perfect-worth it in every way? Well let’s find out!

Ello ello, Leslie here! It is time for another foundation review! I love all things skin, and that includes making it look absolutely perfect (or trying my damndest) with the RIGHT foundation. So I want to try literally all of them.

The Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Foundation from Laura Mercier launched in 2017 and was a favorite of some big name influencers – so of course, I had to give it a try! Let’s see how flawless and longwear this sh*t actually is (and spoiler alert – the bottle is v fragile..)

The Ordinary. Skincare Review – Round 3!

Leslie here with yet another round of thoughts on items from The Ordinary! This skincare line is extremely affordable, but made with clinical technologies, and very straightforward ingredients, claims, and marketing. I, for one, have had great luck with almost everything I have tried from this brand and will continue to try ALL THE THINGS.

On the chopping block today, we have: Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12%, Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3%, Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA, & Argireline Solution 10%. Let’s. get. in. to. this!

Well either way, I got my hands on the new #Hashtag Palette from Violet Voss, and I am here with some swatches and thoughts! When I first saw this palette, it looked like everything I wanted the Desert Dusk palette to be. The purples – so dreamy. The shimmers so ….shimmery. Let’s get into this thing, shall we?
