For the month of November, I really tried not to acquire anything new- that lasted until about the week of Thanksgiving (THANKS BLACK FRIDAY). But the things I got in were too close to the end of the month to include them in November faves- so maybe you’ll see them next month! For November, you will see a few things I have faved before, but why not include something if I am STILL loving it?!
On to the faves!
One thing I picked up during the VIB sale was the Elizabeth & James “Find Your Nirvana” Roller Ball set, and they are ALL I have been wearing! This gift set is such a great value ($28 for all four roller balls!) and I love every single one of them. It really is hard to pick which one I would eventually want in a full size, but for this time of year Nirvana Bourbon is really doing it for me.
Skincare wise, I was having some trouble this month you guys. I had constant breakouts (probably because my diet has been absolute GARBAGE lately.) and I have quite a few days with what looked like allergic reactions. I tried to really simplify things as to not irritate my skin.
One thing that really helped me this month was the TriDerma Facial Redness Repair Cream. This I actually found in the first aid section as Target for around 8 bucks! Whenever my face got itchy, irritated, and almost dry and tight feeling, I would limit my skincare to just this. It works great under makeup and doesn’t leave me greasy through out the day. I really like this as just a simple daily moisturizer! If you need a soothing daily moisturizer, but often have to worry about getting too oily-I would highly recommend this!!
For my constant breakouts, I thought maybe my skin stopped responding to my usual go-to products. I switched things up and started using the Balance Me Congested Skin Serum that was sampled in a Birchbox recently. I only used this on the areas that needed it, because it is SUPER drying. But for that reason, it is extremely effective at zapping those deep down, and almost painful, blemishes. The full size does retail for $30, so I’m not sure if I would go for that when the sample runs out, but I do really like it as a spot treatment! And it smells so bright and fresh and natural!
Since the beginning with my Clarisonic, I have been using the Sensitive brush head. But during Black Friday weekend, there were special value sets on Sephora’s website with a Radiance brush head and a travel size of the Skin Renewing Peel Wash for $15. This is a GREAT value, because the brush heads alone run $27 each. The radiance brush head is SO soft and I love it even more than I love the one for sensitive skin. It is so much more gentle, which my skin has been needing lately.
Makeup faves recently- there are some repeats. The Perricone MD No Foundation Foundation Serum just cannot be beat. I have been testing out some other foundations recently, and nothing compares to this.
I can’t find it in stock anywhere online It is only available on QVC.com, which leads me to believe it is being discontinued. But I was able to snag a couple value sets at a pretty nice discount through Perricone MD during Black Friday weekend. So if you can find it anywhere else, check it out! (and let me know so I can buy more backups!)
Another repeat is the Tarte Grav3yard Girl Swamp Queen Palette. It got re-released and there is still stock on tarte.com for $45, so I would highly recommend snagging it before it is gone forever! These shadows are just so easy, and blend out like a dream! I think I did the same eye look for a week straight for this palette because I was so obsessed with it!
And lastly for the month, some mascara that isn’t drugstore! I have always felt that drugstore mascaras are just as good, if not better than, high end. But I recently picked up the Tarte Lash Lovelies Eye Set from Ulta (which by the way is SUCH a great deal and you should definitely pick it up!) and I love these two products from it! The Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara paired with the Best In Faux Lash Extending Fibers (both full size in the set by the way) makes my lashes so long and fluffy! There is no transfer to my lid, even though it doesn’t claim to be waterproof. And the fibers really lengthen and give me volume. It is an extra step, but I don’t do false lashes, and I think this gives a really natural looking fullness.
And that’s it for November! I hope everyone is enjoying this time of year, and I’ll see you next time!
